Must-Visit Bars on Negril's Seven Mile Beach

Negril’s Seven Mile Beach is consistently ranked one of the most beautiful in the world, and with good reason. Walk up and down the beach until you find a suitable spot to lounge in a beach chair with a cold Red Stripe in hand. Option: lay in a beach chair for three days straight (yes, food vendors walk the beach, so you could literally stay put for three days). I consider myself to be a cliffs gyal, but the lively beach scene is something that cannot be missed.

If you’re looking for good food, drinks, reggae music, and a fun atmosphere, I’ve made a list of my top spots on the beach.

Miss Lily’s

(Located at Skylark, towards the northernmost end of the Seven Mile Beach). Skylark turned out to be my favorite place to chill for several reasons. They have plenty of shade, the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had, Red Stripe ON draft(!!!!), and I was able to rent a paddleboard for a bit! I am also a sucker for an amazing gift shop - which they have at the front. Yah mon!

Perfect for:

  • Cocktails

  • Draft Red Stripe

  • Breakfast, lunch, or dinner

  • Lounging on the beach

  • Taking a dip in the water

  • Paddleboarding

Tiki Pon Da Sea

A floating bar with unlimited Red Stripes and rum punch, and reggae music blasting? Yes please! Grab a group of friends and reserve a few hours on the tiki. $60 per person, includes the trip and unlimited Red Stripes and rum punch. They’ll pick you up from the beach. Reserve by sending them a Facebook message.

Perfect for:

  • Groups, couples, or friends

  • Partying and dancing

  • Swimming

  • Sunset cruises

  • Day drinking

Rasta Ade Refreshments

Located right on the beach, Rasta Ade is a great spot to grab a healthy, delicious, ital meal and juices or smoothies. If you’re looking for fresh vegan food, look no further.

Perfect for:

  • Fruit juices and smoothies

  • Vegan meals

  • Toes-in-the-sand, casual dining

  • Breakfast

Woodstock Negril

Woodstock is a great place to hang on the beach with plenty of beach chairs and reggae music playing all day.

Live Music on the Beach

Catch some live reggae music on the beach at Roots Bamboo, Alfred’s, or Bourbon Beach. Check the schedule before planning, as each venue is known for certain days of the week. Remember, if the show says it starts at 9pm, that means 10:30.

Rasta Dave’s

Why go? It’s a lowkey hangout on the beach with cheap beers and rum. And of course, to chill with Rasta Dave.

Boat Bar

Catch live music at the Boat Bar (yes, it is shaped like a boat), located halfway down the beach near Rondel Village hotel. Live music most days of the week 2-6pm.
